Concrete Spacer Blocks are concrete blocks with galvanised wire that are engineered to carry high load capacities.

They are highly effective in holding heavy steel bars in preparation for pouring concrete.

In most cases, plastic bar chairs can be used to correctly position the steel reinforcing bar prior to concrete being poured but if the steel bar is particularly heavy, then using concrete spacer blocks may be required.

Concrete blocks with galvanised wire is a requirement in most main road projects, this is due to the large diameter reinforcing bar often required in civil projects like roads and bridges.

Why Concrete Spacer Blocks are so effective?

The steel reinforcing bar must be held in position as the concrete is being poured. Concrete Spacer Blocks are useful when the weight of the steel reinforcing bar would otherwise crush plastic bar chairs and cause the reinforcing steel to move out of position, effectively compromising the concrete structure.
